Built for Plant Scientists Who Demand Excellence
XtremeLUX delivers the control and accuracy serious plant research demandsβfrom controlled environment studies to commercial-scale optimization.
Unlike almost all of the competing products, we have been using strictly narrowband LEDs with wavelengths concentrated on the most consequential portions of the spectrum.
This leads to higher so-called "yield efficiency" relative to lighting systems that include broadband phosphor-conversion LEDs (usually white LEDs with various color temperatures).
The use of strictly narrowband spectral components for accurate and reproducible spectral control puts us ahead of all but a few lighting providers.
The incorporation of hyperspectral reflected-light sensors including a near-infrared source and photodetectors with multiple narrowband channels is something that we have not seen in other lighting systems.
This, along with our data logging capability enables the collection of broad-area spectral reflectance and spectral fluorescence signatures that may vary with fluence rates and time.
We know of no other system that puts these features together in such a reproducible form.
In addition, for researchers interested in particular lighting sequences, we can provide the software interface that allows software-sophisticated researchers to program highly-customized lighting and sensing sequences.
We believe our system's capabilities in this case will be unmatched.
